Islet has now delivered close to 20 enterprise AI projects, so I wanted to hear what that track record teaches about where the value actually comes from.
You cannot layer intelligence on top of chaos
If the processes and the data underneath are a mess, AI will not fix them. It will simply automate the mess faster. The unglamorous work of getting the core in order comes first.
Start from the enterprise problem
Across Islet’s projects, the ones that created value began with a clear business problem. The technology choice came after. That order sounds obvious, yet most AI roadmaps I review are still built the other way round: a list of tools looking for somewhere to land.
Not everything needs to be solved with AI
Coming from someone whose firm sells AI delivery, this was refreshingly direct. Some problems are better solved with plain automation, a cleaner process, or a better ERP setup. Knowing when to say no to AI is part of getting it right.
